The City of Arlington Heights partnered with Verde Solutions to advance a long-standing goal of integrating sustainable technologies into municipal operations. Supported by federal funding initiatives, the City moved forward with a 503.69 kW-DC roof-mounted solar system designed to deliver meaningful environmental and financial returns. The installation includes 861 solar modules and 3 inverters, with a projected 30-year production of 17,078,568 kWh of clean energy. This output is estimated to offset 12,104 metric tons of CO₂ emissions — the equivalent of removing 2,608 passenger vehicles from the road for a year. Solar adoption aligns with the Village Board’s strategic planning priorities and reflects a proactive commitment to sustainability. Through strong coordination among municipal leadership, utilities, and project partners, the City successfully turned a long-term vision into reality.
