In partnership with Verde Solutions, The City of Evanston’s Robert Crown Community Center furthered its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship through the installation of a rooftop solar energy system designed to support the facility’s long-term operational and energy goals.

To support the City’s climate action initiatives and sustainability objectives, Verde Solutions delivered a customized rooftop solar solution engineered specifically for the operational needs of The City of Evanston’s Robert Crown Community Center. Designed to maximize long-term energy production and reduce dependence on traditional utility sources, the system features 1,665 solar panels and 6 inverters and is projected to generate approximately 32,569,385 kWh of clean energy over its 30-year lifespan while offsetting an estimated 21,882 metric tons of CO2 emissions. By integrating renewable energy into one of Evanston’s most highly utilized public facilities, the project reflects the City’s dedication to investing in resilient infrastructure that serves the community today while helping create a cleaner and more sustainable future for generations to come.
