Project Overview

As Saf-T-Gard International, Inc. celebrated its 90th anniversary, the fourth-generation family-owned company reinforced its long-standing commitment to protecting people and the environment through a significant investment in renewable energy. Partnering with Verde Solutions, Saf-T-Gard installed a 331.7 kW-DC rooftop solar system at its Northbrook, Illinois headquarters.

The system features 567 solar modules and 4 inverters and is projected to generate nearly 11.7 million kWh of clean electricity over the next 30 years while offsetting approximately 7,856 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The project complements Saf-T-Gard's broader sustainability initiatives, including facility-wide LED lighting upgrades and product recycling programs, demonstrating that environmental stewardship has become an integral part of the company's long-term vision for future generations.
